Lambert at the double
Rickie Lambert scored twice as Southampton came from two goals down to earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient.
Lambert struck twice in the second half, his 11th and 12th goals of the season, to cancel out an early effort from Tamika Mkandawire and Neal Trotman's own goal.
Things started badly for the Saints as Orient took the lead with their first attack. Mkandawire showed bravery to get on the end of JJ Melligan's cross and headed home from six yards. However, it came at a cost as he was clattered by a Southampton defender and had to go off injured shortly after.
The impressive Adam Lallana was running the show and he had several chances to pull his side level, with his 12-yard effort that went wide the best of them.
But Southampton's failure to put away their chances was punished as Orient doubled their lead when Trotman headed over Kelvin Davies and into his own net after 56 minutes.
Southampton rallied and Lambert got the comeback started when he converted Lallana's cross from close range in the 73rd minute.
And the striker completed the comeback in typical fashion when he latched onto David Connolly's pass and finished into the bottom corner to seal a deserved point.
