Shrimps sink Imps

Morecambe secured a 3-1 win over Lincoln with a fine display for only their second victory of the season.

Stewart Drummond gave the Shrimps the lead with a header from Craig Stanley's left-wing cross.

Phil Jevons doubled the advantage just before half-time with his second penalty in successive weeks.

And Paul Mullin secured the points after 53 minutes with a close-range finish from Neil Wainwright's superb cross from the right.

Rene Howe pulled one back for Lincoln from close range after good work from Jamie Clarke with 10 minutes to go, but any hopes of an Imps comeback were extinguished when defender Eric Lichaj was sent off for kicking out at Laurence Wilson.
