Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney made sure Manchester United got back on track in the Barclays Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Blackburn.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side had enough chances to notch up a bigger scoreline but substitute Gabriel Obertan missed a couple of sitters.
Berbatov made the breakthrough in the 55th minute but it was not until two minutes from time Rooney made the points safe.
It means they keep the pressure on Chelsea and Arsenal at the top of the table in their aim to win a fourth successive title.
United dominated possession throughout and could have been ahead long before Berbatov turned Ryan Nelsen and fired a shot across Paul Robinson for his fourth goal of the season.
Rovers rarely threatened to get back on level terms and their fate was sealed when Rooney produced a neat left-footed finish from Anderson's left-wing cross.

Well what a surprise?? what have i said all week?? dont go there and try to defend! what did we do?? GO THERE AND TRY TO DEFEND???? WHY?? when we went behind and changed the way we played we actually looked ok despite that chicken pederson being brought on, never going to win it but got the ba;ll in the net prat of a linesman! refing in the prem's got to be a joke!
Well done to united for getting the result but what would have happened if we had set our stall out to play from the beginning could have been 5 0 or maybe something else! we will never know.
STOP DEFENDING WE CANT DO IT GO OUT AND PLAY FOR GODS SAKE!!!!!!
Well played lads - a great result against stubborn opponents.
What made it even sweeter was the earlier result, of the game at Craven Cottage :-).
