Mark Fotheringham is again doubtful for Norwich ahead of their Selhurst Park clash with Crystal Palace on New Year's Day.Fotheringham has missed the last two matches with a hamstring strain and is likely to miss out again, while Luke Chadwick is definitely missing after booking in surgery on his troublesome shoulder injury.

It remains to be seen whether on-loan Chelsea youngster Jimmy Smith will take part.

The 20-year-old has made nine appearances during his spell at Carrow Road but his deal expires on New Year's Eve. Roeder is keen to extend the deal but he may be disappointed as the Blues may require Smith as cover during the African Nations Cup.

Deals for Mo Camara, Ched Evans and Matty Pattison expire after the match with the Eagles, with Roeder also keen to extend their stays from Derby, Manchester City and Newcastle respectively.

Dion Dublin may start in attack in place of Evans as the Canaries missed a host of chances before Jamie Cureton finally levelled in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wolves.
