Lazio have insisted striker Goran Pandev will not be leaving Rome during the transfer window, despite heavy interest from Bayern Munich.

The German giants have been strongly linked with a move for the Macedonia goal ace, but the club has moved to put an end to the speculation.

"Lazio reiterate that the footballer Goran Pandev, who has a long-term contract, is not for sale and will continue to play for Lazio," the club said.

Lazio have also threatened to end relations "with anybody who circulates unsettling stories which have no foundation".

Pandev has netted six times in Serie A so far this season and currently forms a potent attacking partnership with fellow striker Tommaso Rocchi (pictured with Pandev, above), who also has six this campaign.
