Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock admits it is now "highly unlikely" that West Brom striker Craig Beattie will return to the club.
Beattie proved a big hit during a three-month loan spell at Selhurst Park before being recalled by the Baggies following an injury to Ishmael Miller.
Warnock is still keen to bring Beattie back to south London in January but believes his current form for West Brom could make them reluctant to let him go.
"We still want to bring Beattie back here, but it will be difficult now because of the way he has been playing for West Brom," Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.
"But we certainly want a player like him."
