I think Arshavin would be a good signing.
I'd like to see us snap up Alex from Chelsea too, we need a centre-back like him in the team and he's available too.

Who would blame Arsene for saying Arsenal still have a chance for the title. Any manager would say this because if he says 'my team is finished and no more chance..', the next day he would find his players hanging their boots because they have lost hope.

For Tommihew, clichy didn't make a couple of mistakes but many,sometimes even in a row. Against middlesborough, he blindly cleared the ball which rebounded and caused us a goal. Against Aston Villa, he came in as a sub and let Petrov make a cross that caused the goal. That's only to mention a few.

After Henry left, Aliadiere was the Gunners longest serving player (nearly 8 yrs) but like many others- inc Diarra- was too impatiant from not getting 1st team games, and lets face it with the loss of Hleb, Flamini and injuries of eduardo and rosicky they would have been playing in all comps.
Wenger will buy this winter, he has no choice and with a board meeting where the yank turns up has to be a good sign.

I hope Arshavin doesn't join Arsenal. He'll play alright, but he'll end up like the rest of the squad - underpaid, and wanting more - and finally not winning trophies.

Realistically, he'll probaly go some a big club like Barcelona - but from my point of view, I would hope that he joins a team in the Premier League. Best league in the world, no one can argue against that point.

Maybe Manchester City, what with their new held riches, could be intersted...? That would be great to see!
