Arsene Wenger

We must play own game in Milan

Wenger celebrates with former stars in Milan

The first game against Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday will be an opportunity to put ourselves on the road to qualification.

We have to score at least one goal, and play in a positive way in Milan.

We will not remain deep in defence and will do our best to score goals - as we always have to against Milan.

Milan have such know-how in the Champions League because they have played in this competition for years now. They also have many exceptional talents at their disposal such as Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Pato in attack.

We will need a big defensive performance - and not forget to score goals.

We played them in the second leg of a last-16 tie in 2008, winning 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals.

I remember that it was an accomplished game from us, but above all one where we played without complexes.

We were confident in our strength and our game - and we must rely on this once more this week.

We have to go to Milan with the conviction that if we play our own game, it will pay off.

That is what we did last time.

Well, you played your own game......AND IT DIDNT WORK! So why don't you start teaching our team to football because what you are doing now ISNT WORKING. From a really pissed off Arsenal fan.

Wenger, wake up! No decent team allows you to 'play your own game' anymore. The in thing now is to deny your opponent any time on the ball. Barcelona are not just the best passers of the ball but they are among the best when it comes to denying their opponents time on the ball. Until Arsenal learn this tactic they will continue to fail against most teams.

Arsenal have RVP, as their only worthwhile player. When he leaves for Man city in the summer, Arsenal will be challenging for Europa league spots.

It's one thing to know what to do. It's another thing to be capable of doing it.

Thats a great idea Arsene your a top manager.
Just how did you think this team would do that?

Not a surprise really. If you say at the start of every season "Milan will be in the CL final" it isn't far fetched. Say "Arsenal will be in CL final" and it will raise a few eyebrows. In my eyes Milan will always be a fav' at home to any english team. Take the defeat on the chin and move on you whinging gooners. From a United fan.
