Napoli will be favourites, because they are coming from the Champions League. They were in a very difficult group, and they really have a lot of quality. They are in the top three in Italy; they are playing against Swansea, a club struggling to stay in the Premier League.
I hope for Swansea that these two games won’t take too much energy from them so they can stay in the Premier League. Their dual focus will probably help Napoli.
Swansea can always pull off a great feat. The atmosphere will be exceptional in Wales. And it will be an interesting game to follow.
Juventus v Trabzonspor
Juventus are the favourites in the whole competition, by far. We are perpetually debating the Europa League during the managers' meeting in Geneva. Why? Because clubs which have failed in the Champions League can still win a European title.
But, often, if you look at the prize list of the Europa league, nine times out of 10, victory has gone to a team coming from the Champions League. This year, the team everybody is betting on Juventus - and rightly so. I see them winning against Trabzonspor.
Tottenham v Dnipro
Tottenham are favourites, without a doubt. The only problem will be how far they have to travel. But over the two games, I think Tottenham are the clear favourites.
Porto v Frankfurt
Porto are another team dropping down from the Champions League, against Frankfurt. It looks like a bit like Swansea v Napoli. Porto are playing for the title in Portugal, while Frankfurt are fighting to remain in Bundesliga. So it will be almost the same. Porto are the favourites.
Dynamo Kiev v Valencia
It’s a very even confrontation, because Valencia are steady once more in their results in Spain. It’s always extremely difficult to beat a Spanish team, because they always are very skilful. And Dynamo are one of the best teams in the Ukrainian championship. They are now a bit in Shaktar’s shadow, but they remain a difficult team to face.
