Arsene Wenger

My shock at poor Morocco

Morocco's Noureddine AmrabatI was surprised at Morocco's early exit at the African Cup of Nations.

I have also been shocked at how well co-hosts Gabon and Equatorial Guinea have done.

But I think it could be time for Ivory Coast's 'golden generation' to finally win something, although their main threat - possible final opponents Ghana - are the best side defensively.

Watch the video below for my full thoughts on the African Cup of Nations so far.

its a pity a coach of wengers calibre rates names & not the standard of play.african football has gone past that stage.the so called stars are not shinning at the current AFCON 2012 and you will be shocked to see zambia in the finals & lift the cup.mali are a better side & can easily upset ivory coast.as for ghana ignore zambia at your own peril

Hmm, guess Mr.Wenger didn't want Chamakh back so soon. Lately, he's been an embarrassment, hasn't he?

    Over and out for Pep

It's a good time to be a Real Madrid fan. Jose Mourinho has signed an extension which will contract him to the Bernabeu until 2016. Sir Alex Ferguson might think about moving on by then.  Having displaced Barca as Spanish … Continue reading → More »

Coaching or TV? Neville must choose

Gary Neville's appointment to Roy Hodgson's England coaching staff surprised me, because I'm not sure he can combine the job with his punditry for Sky. If he is working as a link between the squad and the manager, he needs … Continue reading → More »
