Phil Mickelson tees off at the Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday knowing that victory will see him displace Tiger Woods at the top of the world rankings.
And there could be few better places for Lefty to try and leap to the top of the class for the first time in his career. Twice a winner of the tournament and enjoying some of the best golf of his life, if you don't pick Mickelson in your team this week then you're really not even trying.
Unless of course you believe that the pressure of opportunity will be too much; if so, then defending champion Steve Stricker is your man.
Stricker has been shaky of late, but an extended break should have helped him get back on track - and it was here 12 months ago that he kickstarted his season.
In the B-list Jim Furyk is almost as obvious a choice as Mickelson. Gentleman Jim has had a season of ups and downs, but the places that he has struggled - such as Augusta - have been courses demanding big hitting from the tee.
But his win at Hilton Head in April showed that he still has class on tough, shotmakers' tracks - and the Colonial course has been a solid hunting ground for him in the past.
Alongside Furyk we've gone for Rory Sabbatini. The South African has had an odd season, with half a dozen missed cuts to his name already this season; but he's been going in the right direction over the past few weeks, and as the 2007 winner has a confidence boost going into the tournament.
In-form Koreans KJ Choi and YE Yang are the back-up picks.
Finally, in the C-list we're going with a British pairing as Ian Poulter narrowly gets the nod over Paul Casey. Poulter has two top-15 finishes at Colonial in the last two years, while Casey showed at Wentworth that he's still got a bit of game despite that disappointing missed cut at the Players a few weeks ago.

From the top of the golfing tree to the grubby roots of the game which bind us all together, Bunker Mentality will be there: It’ll tees up slices of news, and send them fizzing back down the neatly-trimmed fairway of opinion with more punch than a Tiger 2-iron stinger, more spin than a Mickelson wedge – and more bottle than John Daly.
