First, the Dinamo fans choreographed a giant and impressively detailed tifo display paying tribute to Catalin Hildan and Florea Dumitriche, two club heroes who have passed on.
Hildan died in 2000 of cardiac arrest in the 74th minute of a friendly. He was 24 years old. The north stand of Dinamo Stadium is now named after him.
Dumitriche was a legendary Dinamo striker and Romanian international in the 1960s and '70s who died in 2007, hence the pair being represented as angels rising from the pitch in the display.
Steaua saved their tributes for after kick-off, though.
Just four minutes into the match, Steaua defender Iasmin Latovlevici opened the scoring with a rocket of a volley before hiking up his shorts and parading around with the shirt of team-mate Paul Parvulescu to celebrate his 25th birthday.
But it wasn't the best goal around in Europe this weekend – Denmark laid claim to that with two amazing strikes.
Esbjerg's Peter Ankeren pulled off a pretty convincing impression of Marco van Basten with this stunning volley from a tight angle against AGF – having first brought the ball down with a superb touch. Quite a corner routine....
Elsewhere, Nordsjaelland striker Morten Nordstrand executed a stunning overhead kick to give his side a late equalizer against Copenhagen.
