Movers and shakers: Artistry of Arteta

    During the
season our regular feature will detail whose value is rising and falling.

    UP

Mikel Arteta (MF, Everton, 16.70) +7.65

    A virtuoso goalscoring
performance from the Spanish midfielder against Bolton makes him top dog this
    week.

Roman Pavlychenko (FW, Tottenham, 16.25) +5.49

    The Russian
striker may not have been on the scoresheet against Stoke but his value soared
    nevertheless.

Caleb Folan (FW, Hull City, 10.03) +4.21

    A brace for
the Hull striker see him enter double figures in price.

Tommy Smith (FW, Portsmouth, 8.87) +3.95

    Pompey's
forgotten man jumped into the limelight with a goal and 15.50 points against
    Hull.

    El-Hadji Diouf (MF, Blackburn, 9.86) +3.49

    Diouf's
leveller against Chelsea sees him leap 3.49.

Manuel Almunia (GK, Arsenal, 12.47) +3.38

    A clean
sheet and three saves, including a penalty, makes Almunia top keeper this week.

Darren Bent (FW, Sunderland, 16.91) +3.27

    Bent did
his England credentials no harm at all with a brace against Birmingham.

Roque Santa Cruz (FW, Manchester City, 8.21)
    +3.15

    The
Paraguayan netted his first goal since December in City's win over Fulham.

    Denilson (MF, Arsenal, 13.29) +2.99

    A goal a
three intercepted passes helped the Brazilian to a handsome 21.50 points this
    week.

Fraizer Campbell (FW, Sunderland, 8.00) +2.67

    A whopping
17 points for the youngster sees his value soar.

    DOWN

Wayne Rooney (FW, Manchester United, 24.49)
    -2.81

    What goes
up must come down - Rooney scored again but his value plummets simply beacuse
he was not as good as last week.

Thomas Vermaelen (DF, Arsenal, 9.08) -2.56

    It might
not even have been a foul, but he Belgian's red card has a damaging effect on
    his vaule.

    Marcus Hahnemann (GK, Wolverhampton Wanderers,
    8.91) -2.36

    The
American keeper won't be going to the World Cup on this form.

Nani (MF, Manchester United, 12.82) -2.26

    The
Portuguese started on the subs bench against Liverpool and pays the price in
    terms of value.

Hasan Yebda (MF, Portsmouth, 5.95) -2.22

    No
appearance after a bumper week means the Algerian's price plummets.

Joe Hart (GK, Birmingham City, 9.04) -2.07

    Hart actually
made some decent saves against Sunderland but is penalised for letting in three
    goals.

Jussi Jaaskelainen (GK, Bolton Wanderers, 6.34) -2.03

    Ditto the
Bolton keeper, who made four saves but was beaten twice.

Marcelo Moreno (FW, Wigan Athletic, 4.70) -2.02

    Another who
suffers this week for a previous rapid rise in value.

Boaz Myhill (GK, Hull City, 14.62) -1.99

    Considering
he let in three goals and dropped a massive 14 points, it is inevitable the
Hull keeper sees his value dip.

Edwin van der Sar (GK, Manchester United,
    14.62) -1.99

The champions' keeper continues to fall in
    price after conceding against Liverpool.

    About Fantasy Football

The Fantasist is an expert, no, a guru, in all things Fantasy Football. It will dispense its wisdom throughout the season, unravelling the great mysteries of our time. Conundrums like "Aaron Hughes or Stephen Warnock?' and 'Where does Matty Taylor get all those points from?' During the barren summer months, The Fantasist satisfies its gaming needs by losing a small fortune at its local bingo hall. Consequently, it has a lot riding on Eurosport-Yahoo!'s £5 entry, winner-takes-all office league this season.
