    Movers and shakers: Merseyside derby

During the season our regular feature will detail whose value is rising and falling.

This week's charts see plenty of entrants from Merseyside. However, there is a pretty clear split between the blue and the red half of the city of Liverpool.

    UP

Theo Walcott (MF, Arsenal, 10.72) +4.59

Rediscovered his form after a poor spell with a devilish performance against Burnley.

Emmerson Boyce (DF, Wigan Athletic, 11.48) +3.72

An assist and a clean sheet means big points for the defender

Mikel Arteta (MF, Everton, 10.56) +2.57

The Spaniard put his injury nightmare behind with a brace in the 5-1 mauling of Hull.

Landon Donovan (FW, Everton, 11.67) +2.45

Chipped in with a goal against Hull on his last appearance at Goodison Park before returning to LA Galaxy.

    Samir Nasri (MF, 9.98) +2.39

The signs look good as the Frenchman prepares to step into the injured Cesc Fabregas's shoes.

Andrei Arshavin (MF, Arsenal, 14.56) 2.25

The Russian marked his return to fitness with a goal.

Edwin van der Sar (GK, Manchester United, 14.04) +2.03

A clean sheet at Molineux, greatly aided by some atrocious Wolves finishing.

Jack Rodwell (MF, Everton, 7.65) +1.91

Came off the bench to score his second goal in three games against the Tigers.

Hugo Rodallega (FW, Wigan Athletic, 13.78) +1.90

The Colombian's match-winner gave Wigan a vital win and Liverpool a crushing defeat.

Paul Scholes (MF, Manchester United, 7.28) +1.86

The veteran assassin bagged his 100th Premier League goal to grab three points at Wolves.

    DOWN

Fernando Torres (FW, Liverpool, 16.66) -2.36

A performance from the Spanish hitman every bit as bad as his team earned him -1.5 points.

Abou Diaby (MF, Arsenal, 10.09) -2.13

Replaced the injured Fabregas before half-time, but did not emulate the Arsenal skipper.

Darron Gibson (MF, Manchester United, 9.53) -1.90

Yet to do much more than underwhelm for United.

Steven Gerrard (MF, Liverpool, 16.08) -1.81

Managed a paltry 0.5 points, though would have been less if obscene hand gestures were penalised in Fantasyland.

Marcus Hahnemann (GK, Wolves, 8.06) -1.74

Managed three saves against United, but still sunk in value.

Sotirios Kyrgiakos (DF, Liverpool, 7.05) -1.64

Another casualty of Liverpool's defeat at the DW.

Martin Paterson (FW, Burnley, 7.90) -1.58

Barely got a sniff during his 73 minutes at the Emirates.

Tamir Cohen (MF, Bolton Wanderers, 5.12) -1.45

The Israeli's assist against west Ham was more than cancelled out by his six fouls and a red card.

Richard Garcia (MF, Hull City, 3.94) -1.41

Scored Hull's sixth own goal of the season at Everton.

Zat Knight (DF, Bolton Wanderers, 8.65) -1.38

The big defender drops in value after failing to repeat his goal and clean sheet from last week.

    About Fantasy Football

The Fantasist is an expert, no, a guru, in all things Fantasy Football. It will dispense its wisdom throughout the season, unravelling the great mysteries of our time. Conundrums like "Aaron Hughes or Stephen Warnock?' and 'Where does Matty Taylor get all those points from?' During the barren summer months, The Fantasist satisfies its gaming needs by losing a small fortune at its local bingo hall. Consequently, it has a lot riding on Eurosport-Yahoo!'s £5 entry, winner-takes-all office league this season.
