    Tactical review: Rooney tunes

Just a mini blog today as there is only one game to look
    back on from the weekend.

And it was obviously good news for Wayne Rooney (now a
whopping 24.91) owners as the striker scored all four goals in Manchester
United's thrashing of Hull, collecting a cool
    45.5 points in the process.

He now has 19 goals for the season and his value has gone up
by nine in just a few weeks.

Rio Ferdinand duly returned from injury with a 13-point haul
that saw his value shoot from 7.64 to 11.40. Let's
hope you didn't miss the boat there.

Nani (15.44) averages over 10 points per game, and picked up
18.5 on Saturday. The tricky part is knowing when he will be in Fergie's starting XI.

And while Edwin van der Sar's
14 points look impressive, they were still less than his value going into the
    weekend (17.90).

Hull's defenders did surprisingly well considering the
scoreline - seven points apiece for Kamil Zayatte (9.33), Anthony Gardner (8.95)
    and George Boateng (5.37).

Next week West Ham and Wolves have a double week - you might
want to consider bringing players in now before the midweek matches.

And finally, after the longest registration period in human
    history, Maxi Rodriguez is here.

He currently retails at 4.78. You'd
be a fool not to swoop now lest he bags a brace at Wolves tomorrow night.

    About Fantasy Football

The Fantasist is an expert, no, a guru, in all things Fantasy Football. It will dispense its wisdom throughout the season, unravelling the great mysteries of our time. Conundrums like "Aaron Hughes or Stephen Warnock?' and 'Where does Matty Taylor get all those points from?' During the barren summer months, The Fantasist satisfies its gaming needs by losing a small fortune at its local bingo hall. Consequently, it has a lot riding on Eurosport-Yahoo!'s £5 entry, winner-takes-all office league this season.
