It was a huge thrill to win my first World Golf Championship event and continue the trend of winning bigger and bigger tournaments.

I knew I was going into the week playing well and I had some valuable experience under my belt from being in contention the previous week at the Honda Classic.

It was great to play well on Friday where I shot 64 and jumped into contention. My playing partner Bubba Watson also went low, shooting a 62. We were a combined -18 on the day which was pretty special.

Firstly, I'm really disappointed to have gotten sick. I had stomach flu from Wednesday evening for the remainder of the tournament which, after an off-season of working out and aiming to be healthy and raring to go, was frustrating.

But on the other hand, being under the weather forced me to stay patient, play one shot at a time and stay mentally tough to get the most out of the week. These foundations will pay off in the weeks to come.

what you call redeeming yourself! Ian and I finally got our mojo going! I think
it was because we dressed like the St Georges flag in all white with a red belt
and red hat! That inspired us.

It was great to feel the excitement of making a run and getting our name on the
leaderboard. We knew there was a low score to be had and it is very rewarding
to do it on a Sunday when it really mattered.

Today was the third consecutive day that we have got off to a slow start. Unfortunately it proved costly and we find ourselves eight shots back.

Although we stuck at it because we started the day four behind, there wasn't a lot of room for error.

We could only shoot four under in the betterball format which included two bogies which really hurts you.

Our strategy of giving ourselves two birdie putts as many times as possible didn't work out. We simply didn't play well enough and put each other under too much pressure.

But we did hang in there - and made four birdies in the last six holes to tuck us in the chasing pack.

The course played quite tough today with a 20mph wind blowing which made club selection difficult. I hope it stays that way for the week because I feel that Ian and I are good wind players and after four rounds I believe we'll work our way into position.

To win a FedEx Cup play-off event, with all the benefits that go with, must rank as probably the most significant victory of my career.

I'm not sure if it is the most special victory I've had, because my first win on the PGA Tour at the Memorial tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus will always be very special, but it is definitely up there.
