Discus champ lights up Olympic stadium with hilarious celebration

Robert Harting auditioning for a re-boot of the Incredible HulkDiscus gold medal winner Robert Harting lit up the Olympics with a hilarious victory celebration which had spectators rolling in the aisles at the Olympic Stadium.

The German claimed the title with a massive throw of 68.27m with his penultimate effort, edging Iran's Ehsan Hadadi by a mere nine centimetres - that's roughly the length of an average mobile phone.

Robert Harting, also auditioning for 'The Life of Sally Gunnell'And Harting, who also has two world championship titles, wasn't just happy about his win: he went absolutely bananas, first ripping his shirt off in front of the crowd, then charging round the stadium roaring at the top of his voice.

The piece-de-resistance was still to come, however: Harting was  coming towards the end of his victory lap when he came across stadium staff laying out the hurdles for the women's 110m hurdles final.

And, clearly feeling invincible after becoming an Olympic champion, he decided to take them on, clearing several hurdles with surprisingly decent technique before once more turning to the crowd - who by now were on their feet cheering his name - and roaring once more.

Ed Moses and Colin Jackson have been Tweeting their congratulations. Probably.

Who knew discus could be this much fun?
