In case you haven't figured it out by now: Bethanie Mattek-Sands is
Instantly recognisable on court, her playing outfit incorporates
long socks and the black eye patches used by NFL players to reduce glare, after
the American found that she did not like to play in sunglasses.
And now, with time to kill in Paris
after she was knocked out of the French Open by Jelena Jankovic in the fourth

Fognini, with a thigh injury, managed to serve six foot faults in the one game
whilst trailing 8-9 in the fifth. The Italian eventually came through it, and

quarter-finals. What state he is in what he faces Novak Djokovic on Tuesday
remains to be seen.

his clash with Robin Soderling, third on Philippe Chatrier, could be an
interesting clash especially if the Frenchman can harness his undoubted crowd
support and turn it into an extra weapon.
Agnieszka Radwanska's match against Maria Sharapova is also one to
watch as both women look to take full advantage of the complete openness of the
Pole Radwanska has never been beyond the fourth round at Roland

topsy-turvy tournament so far.
