    Serena’s rap record leaked online

Fans of both tennis and music have been given a sneak preview of Serena Williams's attempt to move into the world of music.

The 30-year-old recorded some songs in a Florida studio last year, and a minute-long demo has been leaked across the internet showcasing the star's rap 'skills'.

Serena's rap is an autobiographical piece that mixes the tennis player's customary feisty attitude and love of bling ("I can't see the haters through these Gucci glasses") with unexpectedly dry comedy lines that we couldn't help but smile at: "I put the track up like a frozen pizza. Beats so crazy it might blow your speakers!"

The song is genuinely by Serena, according to celebrity website TMZ.com, though the 13-times Grand Slam champion might not want to look at that site's reader poll about what they think: just 20 percent of voters so far are fans of the track.

Love it or loathe it? Have your say on Serena's rap record in the comments box below.

    About Tramlines

Tramlines spent its formative years living and breathing tennis, watching Yannick Noah berate line judges and admiring Steffi Graf"s backhand slice from the comfort of its couch at home. Nowadays, Tramlines can often be seen wearing Andre Agassi's old denim shorts, sleeping under its desk in an office with an overzealous air-con machine, whilst devouring punnets of strawberries and pints of Pimms in a bid to bring you the best of the world's tennis. It boasts a 100 per cent record against Alex Bogdanovic on clay and has a top-spin forehand frequently compared to that of the great MaliVai Washington.
