An Israeli top flight keeper has scored a surefire contender for the strangest own goal of all time.
Maccabi Haifa's Assaf Mendes was between the sticks for a friendly match against Dynamo Kiev on a windy Tuesday afternoon. A very, very windy Tuesday afternoon indeed, as Mendes found to his cost while hitting a clearance up the pitch:
