Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain banged in a sensational goal as England drew 2-2 with Brazil in a friendly in Rio de Janeiro – but his dad fell asleep while watching the game and missed it.
The 19-year-old midfielder himself said he couldn’t remember a great deal about the strike – which was a crispy, low half-volley from just outside the penalty area.
"I can’t really remember my goal to be honest,” Oxlade-Chamberlain said afterwards. "I think I played it to Lamps, he played it round the corner to Wazza, he set it and I just hit it.
"Everything else was a blur."
