    Cameraman nails amazing backheel volley

Omani football isn't exactly renowned for turning up global stars.

In fact, until very recently the list of famous Omani players contained just one name: that of Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.

But the length of that list of famous Omani footballers has now been doubled. The man joining Al-Habsi? A TV football cameraman whose produced an absolutely stunning piece of skill during the Sultan Qaboos Cup match between Salalah and Sur at the weekend.

The fun started as the ball was flying over the head of the man behind one of the sideline cameras. But rather than let it pass harmlessly overhead, the quick-thinking cameraman stuck out his leg and pulled off a stunning backheel volley that sent the ball perfectly into the arms of the player who was running up for the throw in.

The breathtaking moment of skill has made the cameraman a star around the world as the video went viral, despite the fact that his identity is yet to be discovered by the many journalists trying to track him down and find out where he learnt his party trick.
