A car fanatic from Essex has spent 15 years and £95,000 building the world's fastest Mini.
And wow, has he succeeded.
Stuart Meads bought the classic Mini 1000 for just £500, but since then has spent countless thousands of hours - along with his family and his team of mechanics - turning it into a hot rod dragster that will accelerate quicker than a Formula One car.
Stuart's Mini will go from 0-60mph in less than two seconds - that's half a second quicker than most of today's F1 cars, and 0.2 seconds quicker than the crazy, 1200bhp, £1.5 million Bugatti Veyron, the most powerful and expensive supercar on the roads today.
The dad of two's Mini has less power than the Bugatti - a relatively small 700bhp - but the tiny frame and light weight of the car means it can take off almost ludicrously quickly, and it will keep accelerating right up to 180mph.
Not bad for a car that produced just 39bhp and had a top speed of 85mph on the day it rolled off the production line - though that original car didn't need a parachute to help slow it down, as Stuart's car does.
"It's been the 'World's Fastest Mini' for 11 out of the past 13 years," Stuart told The Sun.
"The man I originally bought the car from was selling it as his son had sadly passed away racing, I think the car now is a fitting tribute to him."
Far from despairing of Stuart's hobby, his family are right behind him - and they're even desperate to try and get their hands on the keys.
"My wife and my sons help with the car, and my 23-year-old has been asking me if he can have it but I think the insurance might be a bit high!" he chuckles.
"I couldn't do it without my team and family behind me, I have to say a massive thank you to them."
The car is usually only used in quarter-mile straight races, completing the classic drag race distance in under 10 seconds - which is two seconds faster than a Ferrari F50.
Given that, it's unsurprising to hear that it has covered just under 10,000 miles in the last 12 years - though it does occasionally get to draw crowds around town.
"The Mini is street legal," smiles Stuart. "I have been known to pop to Tescos in it!"
