A Cincinnati baseball fan has won the admiration of dads everywhere with a truly incredible piece of skill and bravado.
The incident happened during the Washington Nationals' 7-6 win at the Cincinnati Reds' Great American Ball Park on Saturday.
Washington batter Jayson Werth launched a booming shot to deep centre field, and as the ball arrowed towards the seats you could have forgiven fans with kids for scattering to safety.
Not this guy.
The fan nonchalantly plucked the ball out of the air with his left hand while still cradling his young child in his right arm.
Fans in his section broke out into spontaneous applause as the fan coolly held the ball aloft.
We can only speculate whether the child's mother was as impressed as we were.
The fans struck a much-needed blow for baseball fan manliness after an incident earlier this week when a fan dived out of the way of a home run ball, letting it smack into his girlfriend.
