Hilarious last-minute own goal levels match

A footballer in Israel scored a terrible own goal equaliser in the 89th minute of a cup tie before finding the ultimate redemption in extra-time.

As you can see in the video above, Maccabi Umm al-Fahm's Ashraf Soliman slumped to his knees after firing into the corner of his own net from six-yards out despite not having an attacker anywhere near him.

The goal came in the last minute with his side 2-1 up against Hapoel Afula.

However, Soliman amazingly had the last laugh as he went on to score the winner (at the right end) in the seventh minute of extra-time.

The victory puts second-tier Maccabi Umm al-Fahm into the last 16 of Israel's equivalent to the FA Cup.

Ever score an awful own goal that enraged your team-mates? Did you find redemption? Let's hear your sob stories below.
