It's not often badminton works its way into the sporting headlines, but the amazing point won by Julien Maio at the Strasbourg Masters has briefly changed all that.
Maio was playing fellow Frenchman Romain Eudeline, and at one point Eudeline got well on top of the rally.
Yet while he tried to kill the point off time after time with smashes, Maio somehow managed to leap and dive across the court to keep things going.
Finally, however, Eudeline had done enough as he forced Maio to the floor having popped the shuttlecock straight up for another smash from point-blank rang.
But Maio wasn't done quite yet. From the floor, and in desperation, he raised his racquet skyward as if he was Lion-o from Thundercats - and somehow blocked Eudeline's smash with a genuinely unbelievable winner.
