The jokes keep on coming for poor Manti Te'o after Maxim magazine named his now infamous fake girlfriend as one of the 100 hottest women in the world.
The reported deaths of Te'o's grandmother and purported girlfriend, both on September 12 last year, and his response to the tragedies, were often repeated stories during Notre Dame's bid for a national championship last season. His grandmother did die that day but it turned out his supposed girlfriend Lennay Kekua had never actually existed.
Te'o, who has since been drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the NFL, has been the butt of numerous jokes on the issue and Maxim magazine is the latest to have a bit of fun at his expense.
In their Hot 100 list – counting down the sexiest women in the world – they have placed Kekua number 69 and even published a picture of "her" in a bikini.
Their bio for Kekua reads: "After Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love. Why not? She's got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini."
Miley Cyrus was rated number one on the list ahead of Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence.
