Mountain bike star Michal Marosi looked certain to win the JBC 4X race in the Czech town of Jablonec at the weekend, right up until he misjudged a jump and crashed on the final lap.
With two fellow competitors zooming past him it seemed there was no way back for the 35-year-old in front of his home fans.
But Marosi was determined to win, and where there's a will there's a way - particularly if one of the final bends has a wooden wall around its edge.
Marosi turned on his afterburners to go around the acute turn - which caused the two riders in front of him to slow down to make it round -then launched his bike onto the wall, rode round at top speed, and bunny-hopped back onto the track and into the lead.
Back in the lead and loaded with momentum there was no stopping him after that, and Marosi belted his way to the finish line to celebrate victory. Thankfully there were cameras - including one being held by a brilliantly-located fan - to capture every moment of his audacious wall ride.
