Obafemi Martins is one of those well-travelled footballers who you always forget about until you hear his name again and think, "Oh yeah, him, I wonder where he is right now."
The current answer to that question is MLS side Seattle Sounders, whom he signed for earlier this year, and where he is settling in nicely with six goals in 11 appearances.
Given that he's made it his eighth club in a 13-year career, you won't be surprised to hear that Martins has become adept at making himself feel at home off the pitch no matter where he is.
Through the magic of Instagram, he has shared with the world the secret of how he settles in so quickly: by making sure that, at night, he sits down to eat his dinner from a hideous gold-plated chair upholstered with a shirt from one of his former clubs.
His nomadic lifestyle means that he's now in the position of being able to throw a decent-sized dinner party. the only problem left for him is to decide which of his guests will sit in the Reggina, Inter Milan, Newcastle, Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan, Birmingham City, Levante, Seattle and Nigeria seats.
For the rest of the world, there's another problem: what to make of it. Though the Louis XVI-style chairs obviously look utterly disgusting with the football shirts sewn into them (and would look pretty awful regardless), we can't help thinking that this is actually a brilliant idea and a nice way to keep souvenirs of his previous clubs around the place.
