Rally driving duo walk away after unbelievable crash

A rally driver and his navigator have survived one of the most incredible motor racing crashes ever caught on film.

Driver Jeremy Foley and his navigator Yuri Kouznetsov were taking part in the legendary Pike's Peak International Hill Climb in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, the second oldest motor race in America.

But Foley misjudged one of the turns on top of a cliff in his Mitsubishi Evo, and the car flew off the road and down the side of the boulder-strewn, 14,000ft mountain.

The 500-horsepower car rolled over 20 times as it flew down the mountainside, leaving spectators fearing that they had just witnessed a fatal accident.

Incredibly, however, the car's steel roll cage held firm - and both men walked away. They were both airlifted to hospital for checks, but later released.

"Yuri and I are ok. A little beaten up but nothing major," Foley confirmed on his Facebook page, before thanking fans for their messages.

"Thank you so much to everyone for the kindness and support! What a wonderful feeling to feel so loved!"
