Dennis Rommedahl scored one of the best volleys you will
ever see in Denmark's Euro 2012 qualifier against Norway.
The Norwegians looked to have cleared a corner in the 27th
minute when it fell to Rommedahl, who unleashed an unstoppable shot from 25
yards that left goalkeeper Rune Jarstein grasping at thin air.
Although Norway later equalised to make the final score 1-1,
Rommedahl was pleased with his contribution.
He said: "It is perhaps my best goal. I hit it
well and it went in perfectly, so it was a fantastic feeling."
The result left the Danes third
in Group H, three points behind group leaders Norway.
Rommedahl is best known to English
fans from the three seasons he spent at Charlton Athletic from 2004-2007.
He has been a fixture in the
Danish side since 2000, and has won 108 caps, making him the join third-most
capped player in the country's history, level with Thomas Helveg and trailing
Peter Schmeichel and Jon Dahl Tomasson.
