  9. 14:38 - Daniele Bennati (Liquigas)comes in with the 14th time. The Italian won his second stage of this year's Giro on Sunday.

  10. - - Among the favourites for overall victory, Danilo Di Luca is for the moment best placed in 4th. Riccardo Ricco is 6th, six seconds behind his compatriot.

  11. 13:44 - And we have a NEW LEADER!!! German Tony Martin breaks the one hour barrier. His time of 58:54 moves Ignatiev into second.

  12. 13:24 - Yann Huguet finishes in 1:02:53 ", 2:44 behind Ignatiev.

  13. - - Russian Mikhail Ignatiev (Tinkoff) sets a time of 1:00 ' 09. He's followed by Australian Graeme Brown (Rabobank) who clocks 1:22.

  14. - - Italian rider Ermanno Capelli (Saunider Duval) will be the first off at 13:00. "La lanterne rouge", or the last-placed rider in the group is the first of 179 riders away.
