Pakistani athlete Mohammad Sajjad has been banned for failing a dope test in the Asian indoor championships in Qatar. The hurdler is the first Pakistani athlete to receive a drug ban.

Bolt comes close to 100m record

Jamaican Usain Bolt runs the second fastest 100 metres ever when he clocked 9.76 seconds at the Jamaican International Invitational. Bolt's time is just two hundredths of a second slower than the world record of 9.74 set last year by his compatriot Asafa Powell.
