Injuries & Suspensions

Lots of uncertainty out there right now kids...

Almunia is facing the dreaded "fitness test" while Gerrard and Arbeloa are both likely injured enough that Rafa won't even consider including them in the line-up against Fulham (no word on others that are likely to be included as he is resting his first choice squad for the Champions League).

Davies is suspended for Bolton reducing the even vaguely interesting options there by one.  As much as I like the theory of putting your money on teams with something to play for, I have a hard time picking anyone from Bolton other than Steinsson and MTaylor who are even vaguely interesting.

Anton Ferdinand's injury last weekend was serious enough that it will keep him out this weekend as well.  Paintsil and Spector are options to replace him.  Both will likely play although Lucas Neill might force one of the two to the bench for the first 60 minutes.  Look for a clean sheet and some points for one of them and a sub clean sheet for the other.

More dreaded "late fitness tests" for Larsson and McFadden at Brum.  Throw Kapo into the mix of uncertainty and you've got some real questions as to who will play and get points for Birmingham.  Toss a coin and pick your favorite or just avoid the situation entirely.

Interesting note that 'arry is looking to rest Kranjcar.  With Everton's loss to Chelsea seems like he'd want his best squad out there...strange but I've never claimed to understand the mind of Mr. Redknapp.

That's about it for the analysis...good luck sorting through all the mixed signals and uncertainty over starting spots...

Arsenal.com writes "Manuel Almunia failed a fitness test on his wrist on Friday morning so Jens Lehmann will continue in goal."....looks like Lehmann could be a good choice at 5.14...

Re: (1) He isn't listed as available in the TeamTalk u@#$%ate above. And even if he is fit, with Noble and Ljunberg back I doubt he'll see the pitch.

Ok I JUST dropped Agbonlahor for Owen. Decided to drop Noble and McCartney for R.Taylor and Paintsil. My final team: Owen, Afonso, Young, Downing, Barry, AReid, RTaylor, Hutton, Paintsil, Sun, Carson. Good luck!
