Liverpool's Martin Skrtel slides in on Chelsea's Michael Ballack to win the ball

Is there a game today?  I hear rumblings but just can't seem to find any information.

Oh... Champions League, that's right! Another Liverpool v. Chelsea bore-fest.  Funny how Lamps, Drogs, and Gerrard are all of sudden over their (or their family's) ailments. 

I sure hope the match lives up to its potential.  Lots of drama from these meetings, but so far very little football.  Regardless, I'll be COS.  Funny how we first had to post that for the original LIV/CHE CL match.  Circle of life, eh?  So unless Ronaldinho signs for Citeh, or Hleb gets a three match ban we'll talk tomorrow.  But for now, consider this your Champions League Semi-Final matchday open thread.

And finally, what's this... diving practice?

    Jeremy..the allusion to Lampards family situation may be a tad insentive! And I am getting so bored with EVERYONE saying how boring this match will be - so now I am expecting a great match with everyone thereafter changing their tunes to say 'oh i expected this from these 2 top sides' lol.

    @1... fair enough. however, i'm still bitter about losing 2 EPL matches from BFFL last week. I understand. But after missing players due to illness, grandmother's funeral, mother's pnuemonia, illness, illness, tweaking something in warm-up... I understand and am sympathetic. But bitter.

    how about that .. hleb gets banned for the rest of the season . what do u guys reckon ? diaby should be a sure starter . n with only 3+ . 1+ if barn doored . i would say a good 70mins before being replaced with denilson ..

    yep, i understand. had the problem with defoe missing out an he hasnt been the same since coming back. Anyways, here to 2 hopefully great semi finals - tho I woulda rathered a United vs Barca final!

    pretttty sure Riise has cemented his transfer from Liverpool now. a 'goat story': a Place kicker in Canadian Football missed a field goal in the playoffs, and had a pile of manure dumped on his front lawn. I;m sure it'll be WAY worse for Riise.
