Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates scoring the opening goal of the game with Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Wes Brown

Well kids, we've come to my final official posting of the 2007/2008 campaign.  There isn't a ton of interesting news to be had that should make a huge impact on your squad but here's what we have for you...

Faddy and Ridgewell are doubts for Brum - not huge news but the lingering injury to McFadden following his knee scope certainly explains his dip in form over the last month or so.

Benni McCarthy is back and the way the news item is written he will force last weekend's stud, Jason Roberts, back to the bench.  Nowhere does it say that definitively but reading between the lines a bit, that's what I'm taking away.

Berbs is back for Spurs (perhaps for the last time?).

At ManYoo, Rooney is likely out for the season finale as is Nani after his insanely stupid (and really pretty lame) headbutt last weekend.  I mean really, who does that? I headbutt you and then I fall down like you just tackled me from behind?  And during the same week that statements were released saying that the "diving problem" is under control.  Nani's loss is Ryan Giggs' gain as well as that of fantasy managers who can get in on Giggsy for the low, low price of just under 10.  Oh, by the way, looks like Vidic will be back for ManYoo as well.  He's cheaper than he's been in a while so worth thinking about if you have some money burning a hole in your pocket.

Arteta is still out - we told you this last weekend but worth a reminder just in case you don't memorize every word we type.

Arsenal are likely to feature some really young players - Mark Randall and Kieran Gibbs - as opposed to the very young players who usually feature in the squad.  Randall is a central midfielder and seems likely to take the Flamini/Denilson/Gilberto role (in other words, not terribly likely to be of much use to fantasy managers).  Gibbs can play both centrally or on the left wing with the latter being my guess as to where he lines up this weekend if he gets his chance.  If you're looking for something cheap, you could probably do worse.

So, that's about it, assuming that Yahoo keeps the blog open next week both Jeremy and I will be back with a wrap up of the season.  We don't know yet what is going to happen over the summer so if you can't find us in this space, please check in at our original site http://fantasyepl.blogspot.com.  If we aren't writing here, we'll be keeping ourselves in practice there.

Best of luck on the final weekend.
