Well, I got one thing right this week.
"I wouln't bet on CRon coming away empty handed... I'll just hope Giggs can collect a souvenier goal or assist along with a winner's medal."
Sure enough, CRon PK topping off the most remarkable fantasy season I've ever seen, and Giggs getting his goal ten minutes from time having come off the bench. Lita, Jummy, and Shorey also did well for me. But the rest was pretty much a wash. Most disappointing were Terry and Drogba, both of whom now seem doubtful for the CL final. And everyone else was stuck on the bench... which with Pantsil and Gordon was probably the lesser of two evils.
Congratulations to all the winners in the private, public, personal and Beat the Blogger groups. It's been quite the season and we'll be digesting it for weeks. Or at least until Euro2008 begins or until the hot stove heats up.
Special thanks and congratrulations to Neal who this season just crushed it from kick-off to the final whistle. He got all the big moves right and didn't miss on too many of the little ones either.
And thanks to all the readers, commenters, correspondents. You make this blog so much fun to write and this game so much fun to play.
Until next season,
The Manager

Does anyone know the URL for checking your past fantasy achievements? Does it still even exist? Can't see a link anywhere and I wouldn't mind seeing how my overall position this season has compared with previous years.

Look at it this way, at least you did not get the 5 hole. I was hooing to break into the top 1000, but 1351 will have to do.

Posted by: benjipoulton on Mon May 12 05:40PM | Report abuse2nd in Beat the Bloggers 2... though way off first place in the end with a very bad final week... Jeremy will you be aiming for top 50 again next season? Quite a surprising downturn in form but I can't believe it's more than a season long blip!
Posted by: richslashdot on Mon May 12 11:06PM | Report abuseMe commenting after my first season playing FF or even watching the EPL. Great experience overall but I realized that I invested too much time researching through the week and poring over scenarios on Friday nights. Let's just say my gf is happy the season is over. In my private group I was first by 9 points and after Sunday was third by 30. My epiphany, more research doesn't exactly equal better results though maybe I need to work on a better strategy. Any thoughts out there? At least I know who K2 is now. Ha ha.
Posted by: dyosh15 on Tue May 13 12:54AM | Report abuseJeremy and Neal, can you please post your teams again so we can check out your performance. What I really want to do is check out your strategies throughout the season. You both kicked my ass by over 6 points.
