Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has undergone "successful" surgery on his right ankle, but will probably miss the start of the season.

The 23-year-old was operated on by professor Niek van Dijk in Amsterdam on Monday morning, and a hospital spokesperson said he will be discharged on Tuesday.

The Premier League champions said he faces at least a month out, making him unlikely to be fully fit for the start of the domestic season on August 16.

Last year we had his early 3-game absence due to a red card.  And now we'll definitely start the season without him.  So, where does your +10 money go now?

  1. Happy with this as it allows a bit of choice for everybody in the first 3 games. It will then divide everybody when he is back as to wheather to put him in or not
