Fantasy Premier League

Jeremy Spitzberg & Neal Thurman

Who would have thunk it?

Manchester United's Paul Scholes

Turns out Neal knows what he's talking/writing about!  Not only did he hit the nail on the head in this week's previews -- heck, he even predicted the return of "Dead to Me" Paul Scholes, but copying his team has solidified my lead in our group and catapulted me to just outside the top 200.

Happy Jesus Day, Neal!  You've earned it.

  1. missed first four weeks of season, if I had started from beginning would be in top 20, have kept faith with same team all the way through, lets see how i do second half of season.

  2. Well, Neal writes something good about Barton and he repays him by getting a big fat red card....... LOL

  3. that'll teach him, won't it? at least it wasn't a lit cigar to the eye! or the fantasy equivalent... having someone on your team who gets a red card in the first game of a 2 game week!!!! ;-)

  4. Looks like everyone is having a wonderful christmas (fantsy-wise speaking..) but I only got 47pts from last nites matches :( Btw, I have started thinking for next week already. Do u guys think its a good time to get Friedel in?

  5. laiisok01 - I don't think Friedel is a wise move - Blackburn really aren’t playing well and with their defence will always leak goals. Although seeing their match-ups, they have a couple of easy-ish games with Southgate's Boring 'Boro at home and Injury hit Wigan...in fact as I write this, maybe he is a good choice!!! I'll have to think about that over the next day or so! But if Cudicini's injury doesn’t improve then i'd go for Hilario and save 1.50 points.

Changing subject, just wanted to wish Neal and Jeremy a very Merry Xmas - thanks for the blog guys, thoroughly helpful and as always entertaining! You're advice has left me leading my league by 200 points and I'm aiming for an top 200 overall place for the first time, yay! :)

    Happy holidays guys - Nik

  10. pays to be patient with some of these players instead of changing ur entire lineup every week. I got 207.5 points at the end of the double week, with only 10 players playing and my defense + GK giving me only 11 points. How did I pull this off you may ask? . . . . . Ronaldo, Drogba, Persie, Lampard, Dyer, Young, and Walcott (4 points). Of course this means I cant sell any of them now cus I'd lose a ton of money :( [especially Ronaldo who's +9.92]
