Les Reed has left Charlton by mutual consent and Alan Pardew has been appointed as his replacement at The Valley.
Pardew, who was sacked by West Ham earlier this month, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal and becomes the club's third manager this season.

In case you missed the news between bites of pudding. The managerial carousel continues to turn. Does this mean that the Boro match will see a bump in Charlton's fortunes (not Jonothan, either) as they look to impress the new manager? Glad I went with Gerrard/Niemi then. ;-)
