One for the future

A future all-name team member, Yves Makaba-Makalamby.

The 20-year old Belgian is Chelsea's 4th choice keeper and has made the bench for today's CL match.  I look forward to big things from him, and I look forward to typing "YMM" and having you know to whom I am referring.

More pressing Chelsea keeper news is of course whether or not Carlo will be ready to face Portsmouth this weekend.  Stay tuned and we will bring you all the latest baseless speculation and qualified predictions.

Hilario made a couple of saves but they weren't tough shots to start with. I am not impressed with him. Drogba, on the other hand, is class. I am an Arsenal fan.

From the Spurs website: "We still haven't found the formula to play at 100 per cent, without Aaron we were playing with four central midfielders across the middle, but I think Danny has done well lately. He is getting his fitness back, it is not easy if you don't play for six months then play three or four games in a short space of time. Danny is getting more influential with his free-kicks and is becoming an effective player for us." In other words, heads up! Those of you with Murphy, he can only get better!

Speaking of baseless speculation, how come you don't reference other websites for injury news anymore? One of the best things about hte blog was getting information from sites I didn't usually check (or even know about). Surely Yahoo! realise the benefits of getting information from a wide variety of sources. What is given with one hand is taken away with the other I suppose...
