During the season our regular midweek feature will detail whose value is rising and falling. UP
Cesc Fabregas (MF Arsenal) 19.55, +4.09: The Arsenal skipper proved to be the marquee player you should have plumped for in Gameweek One, courtesy of his two goals and two assists in the 6-1 drubbing of Everton.
Shay Given (GK Manchester City) 9.13, +3.05: The Irish keeper is picking up for City where he left off last season, courtesy of his clean sheet at former club Blackburn.
Didier Drogba (FW Chelsea) 13.20, +2.44: His match-wining brace against Hull are enough to see him rise in price despite his less telling second appearance of the week.
Jermain Defoe (FW Tottenham Hotspur) 14.34, +1.84: Another striker to benefit from facing the Tigers, scoring three at the KC.
Deco (MF Chelsea) 7.89, +1.66: Carlo Ancelotti has stated he wants the Portuguese to stay, and he could force his way into the side on Tuesday's showing.
Steven Gerrard (MF Liverpool) 21.75, +1.14: A goal and two assists are enough to see the Liverpool skipper's value go up, but he's still affordable.
DOWN
Tim Howard (GK Everton) 7.76, -4.01: Shipped a whopping 14.00 points due to the Arsenal drubbing. The only way is up for one of last season's best keepers.
David James (GK Portsmouth) 7.12, -1.66: The goalkeeper is in for a torrid season with Pompey, yet to earn a league point from two matches.
Andrey Arshavin (MF Arsenal) 15.65, -1.43: The Russian had a surprisingly quiet afternoon during the Goodison goalfest. His slight drop could be a blessing in disguise
Martin Skrtel (DF Liverpool) 7.37, -1.30: The Liverpool defender went off at Tottenham after an aerial clash with Jamie Carragher, but should be fit for the weekend.
NEW ARRIVALS
Damien Duff is now available for selection for Fulham for the princely sum of 6.85.
Another Fulham-bound player, Jonathan Greening, is awaiting a medical before joining on loan from West Brom, and Ever Banega is still waiting for a work permit before moving to Everton, so neither player is available as yet.
How dull...what a nonsensical article

#1...quit moaning...this is free.
I just started with your Fantasy Football and I have to say that I am really disappointed that you don't count midweek games... I actually can't believe it. So I wanted to ask if anyone knew the reason to this, if it is really true?
midweek games count for week 1
btw nice article, people staying on top of the game propably know all of that but for people who don't spend much time on playing it's surely great thing
bog standard stuff as usual, no creativity in these articles..they lack the personal approach that NThurm and JSpitz did oh so well. And just for the record, In fantasy terms Arshaving had a quiet game vs Everton but in real time he was pretty awesome and very unlucky not to score...so he should be a definite purchase for the Pompey Skates game.
yeha
Thanks, ketzz. We're happy to give you that personal touch over at the old/new blog home... fantasyepl.blogspot.com
I have to agree with 1 and 11, terribly dull stuff that's pretty darn easy to look up on your own. I'm removing this feed from my RSS reader and sticking to Jeremy and Neal from now on. Still quite sad/ridiculous that Yahoo dumped them.
Back to a 1 game week, which is what everyone prefers as it gives managers far more control. But...Cesc or Arshavin? Rooney or Torres? Gerrard or Lampard? What do people think? Please head over to my blog if you get a chance, loads of good chat going on:- yahoofantasyfootballuk.blogspot.com
all in one season.........
Why do people whinge so much.
Funny thing is some of them were the ones complaining about numerous things last season including J & N.
I'm happy to give the Fantasist a chance; I'll also be checking out many other sources of info including J & N plus yffassisants blog.
Here's the big mystery of this season. Why did David Bentley enter the season with such an inflated price? He's 12.50. I can understand last year's price but he should have been seriously downgraded coming into this game. He went from 6 G, 11 A in 37 games with Blackburn. To 1 G, 2 A in 20 games(most of which he was a sub) for Tottenham last year, yet his price is still in the neighborhood of Matty Taylor, Pienaar and Gareth Barry.
whinge, whinge, whinge. Instead of whinging do the research yourselves you ungrateful half wits, it's free and it's fun stop wasting valuble time writing dribble. P.S j & n are GONE stop sucking up. My two bobs worth for what it's worth.
nonsense..........
where is Salgado from Real to Blackburn???
you know who looked good? Benayoun. He changed the game for the Reds in the 2nd half against the Spurs. After Torres/Gerrard, Benayoun will have to pick up the slack.
I currently have EDS in my line-up, what do you think the chances are of him playing in the Portsmouth game? I am considering changing him for the seemingly in-form Saha, although Jo and Tevez are in consideration too. What do you think?
Does anyone else have problem with changing valuations whilst changing team. I had £4.5 million, started making changes, then cancelled the changes to start again, and found myself with only £2.5million left! That's the second time this week it has happened, and i've lost £4m as a result. Not entirely sure where that money's gone - didn't look at all the individual player values before the change. Very annoying
I need an advice:
I have two open midfield spots, which I kept for Essien and Zhirkov, but then I found out that Zhirkov probably won't play. I dropped Milijas before (His value didn't go that high, I have Given and Bridge which he plays against, and I'm not sure how Wolves will look against City), so I don't want to get him back before next week, but I think I won't have any choice.
Right now I think about two options, and I'm asking you to help me decide:
Rodwell&S. Hunt - both on great form and without tough matches, I'm not sure that Rodwell will open
or
Milijas&Mascherano - the first gets points but plays against a defender and the keeper of mine, and the second doesn't get that many points
Please help!
good article. though i agree with 11, ron & jeremy's articles were quality.
agree with 9..ban the spammers. i reported one myself, got a thank you email from yahoo, went back and the msg had not been kicked off.
btw whats happened to the match-casts, you used to get a sneak preview of part of your ff score via the stats.. sot's fw's ,assists etc, team shots,
saves made etc. but they don't seem to be doing the stats this yr.
NO.27 THINK U HAVE ANSWERED UR OWN QUESTION THERE!!
@31 - the other 2 blogs are:-
fantasyepl.blogspot.com (jeremy & neal) &
yahoofantasyfootballuk.blogspot.com (yff assistant)
LOL @ #2!!!! Third time I've wrote that this season!
wow. Poor Neal, gets no respect.
Re(28) - I was wondering the same about the match-cast stats. A real shame. I hope it's only a temporary problem. If not... well, there are other sites which still provide them.
