England rocked by King injury blow

Ledley King has pulled out of the England squad with a knee injury ahead of Wednesday's Euro 2008 qualifier in Croatia.The Tottenham defender did not join Steve McClaren and his players on the flight to Zagreb on Tuesday as he still has concerns about his knee, on which he had an operation in the summer.

This comes on the heels of Dawson going out injured as well.  Lot of concern now over Spurs' defence before their trip to the Midlands to play Villa (who have their own worries over in-form keeper Sorensen).  You would have to assume that Davenport starts.  But who partners him?  Does Chimbonda move infield from fullback, or would Huddlestone drop back from midfield?

It would be a shame to see Jol play for the one point, and that tactic might backfire on him, and fantasy managers with Danny Murphy on their teams.

Sick of us mentioning him yet?  it's just that he's a long-time blog favorite, is back in the frame, and we've all picked him for our teams after his 20pts against Portsmouth.
