Mid-week team news is always bittersweet. It is so frustrating to be unable to make changes to accomodate the latest injuries or managerial decision making.
So in that spirit of "for what it's worth", here's some of the latest news:
Are Saha and Ronaldo going to be back for next week though?
Is Sidwell out for next week? Anyone heard?
I snapped up Berbatov midgame on saturday, before the prices changed. I'd been waiting for him to take off in-league, what with his ongoing good form in Europe, so I grabbed him again at the first sign, and now I just got lucky with Mido being out. Now I've got Doyle and Berbatov both for cheap up top next week and hopefully beyond. I may be on a Doyle/Berbs/BFAY/Eboue + 7 run for awhile now.
That little coup almost makes up for having bought AJ for this week. *cries* Seemed like a sound idea at the time, thought I'd buy him low and he'd surely play two and likely scrounge a goal somehow. Ah well.
I'm half thinking about dropping Cudicini for Hahneman next week, but I'm just not sure if I want to get greedy what with having him at like 8-something. Hope he has a terrible game midweek and drops his price down low enough to make the decision for me. Plus that would also mean a Cheslki loss, which is always a happy occasion anyway.
how to searh the injured football player table

Yeah I grabbed Berbatov and Lennon when I realised that I would have probably had them in their two game week anyway. It's impossible to be sure which two strikers Jol's going to pick for any given match but if he's got any sense he'll keep playing Berbatov on this form, especially with Mido out of the picture

I think I'll clutch at this straw, I have Saha!
Manchester United have two major doubts ahead of the game with Everton on Wednesday night. Cristiano Ronaldo and Louis Saha both picked up knocks in the draw with Chelsea on Sunday, and are not sure to make the game. Saha looks the most likely to play having walked off the pitch, and because he is more desperately needed given United's lack of striking options. Darren Fletcher seems the most likely to replace Ronaldo, with John O'Shea being called upon if Saha is missing too, forcing Ryan Giggs into the frontline. Patrice Evra may replace Gabriel Heinze so the Argentine does not make it three games in a week after his recent injury concerns. Ji-Sung Park and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have both returned to light training.
Predicts: van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Saha, Rooney.
OMG! Where the hell is BFAY for the Wat-Sheff U game? I was banking on at least 10 points from him tonight.
What a kick in the balls that is
He's out with flu apparently
No Kidding
Losing BFAY is (insert favorite unusable blog word here) terrible!!
ouch!
BFAY, get well soon!
Glad I dumped BFAY this week for the two-gamers available.
the first week i pick up Ashley Young and he gets the friggin flu?!?! Where were u on this one Jeremy and Neal?! haha
I would like to honour Mr Kenny for his performance last night. Those who sneered at his potential selection feel ashamed as he delivered around 17 + points. Not good in the long run but gems need to be unearthed every now and again otherwise we would all have the same team i.e Cudicini
don't know why people picked cudicini this week... reina was the clear choice for me, liverpool have the best home record in the league, two home games against mediocre sides = 25 points surely? he's halfway there...
if you have cudicini cheap though you can keep in all season to rotate better outfield players
Any news on rosicky?
