Emmanuel Eboue, Arsenal

Two weeks ago I sold Warnock for Eboue on Friday. 

Net Loss: 21pts

Last week I sold Eboue for Denilson on Friday.

Net Loss: 20.5pts

What is going on?  This isn't about Eboue -- though he's just now living up to the promise of a starting Arsenal middie listed as a defender -- but these are the kind ot mistakes... well, these are the bets that paid off for me over the last few seasons.  Now I keep swinging and missing.  It's costing me points and places in the standings.

Am I trying to show how smart I am?  Is it the pressure of the blog to be ahead of the curve?  I probably just need to get back to basics.  Read the rules and start chipping away.

  1. Talking about Eboue. Do you guys know the status of the missing CS ? I am wondering why it is taking Yahoo so long to fix this mistake.

  2. Jeremy you are so right. I won my private league at a canter last year but this year am languishing in mid-table. I too, seem to always pick the wrong option. . Went with Benni Mac and RSC instead of Gabby and FBAY for the Villa double gamer week. Don't even want to think about the point swing that cost me! Thing is I feel I'm making the right decisions on paper, the gods just aren't smiling on me...

  3. At times like this, don't over-think it - go with your first instinct and make adjustment based on Friday news, only if warranted.

  5. Do you not think that Eboue isn't getting CS points because he is actually a midfielder? I know he is listed as a defender by mistake but if that is a mistake then it could make me right? Or wrong, or maybe I should stop commenting after a few sherberts? If you undersatnd then just nod.
