Arsene Wenger is confident it will not be long before Arsenal see the best of Julio Baptista.
The 25-year-old Brazilian - nicknamed 'The Beast' - will be rested for Wednesday night's Barclays Premiership trip to Fulham, having only just returned from a lay-off with a hamstring problem.
The powerfully-built attacking midfielder has so far started just once in the league following his deadline-day loan move from Real Madrid, and finally opened his goalscoring account against Hamburg in the Champions League earlier this month.
Wenger, however, feels Baptista still needs time to "adapt" to his new surroundings - and declared the player can "make a big impact" for Arsenal.
"There is no basic problem with him. He has just got to adapt to the pace of the game," insisted the Gunners boss.
"He has just come back from six weeks out with injury, and I feel he needs to work, maybe he will play on Saturday (against Tottenham)."

Arsene, you tease! I thought last week that if Baptista didn't start @Bolton then he wasnt' EVER going to start. Now Wenger is going to throw him into the N London derby? I'm not convinced. Still would love to field him in my fantasy team. You have to love a player once described as "a less unhinged Stan Collymore crossed with an elephant."
I am dreading this weekend's selection..i have sheva@5.76, cole@5.95 & cudicini@8.90...can i afford to have all 3 of these missing a double-header week, also bearing in mind that they have 2 games the week after...losing patience with sheva(he'll probably score this evening cos of this comment)...
i made the decision and dropped them all apart from cudicini (had drogba at 12 ish points too, and ballack at four (should have kept him!))....well see what happens.
