Injuries & Suspensions

Fri Dec 14 08:41PM by Jeremy

Update:

Chelsea team news came through - - and it looks like Malouda may be back. So two or three from four b/w FloMa, JCole, SWP and Kalou. I don't like those odds, so will probably be dumping JCole from my team... again. Who to replace him with? I've got a little bit to spend and am mainly looking at Dempsey (home to NUFC) or Bianchi (home to Bolton and in line to start - supposedly). Looks like Dempsey once again inolved in that age old question (and previous blog feature) ¿Quien es mas macho? If only to make Nery feel more at home.

Any thoughts from the community?  Between the two, whom do you choose?  Or is there a striker or middie 8 or cheaper whom I'm sleeping on?

Let's hear it.

 ---

I wish I could say that there was more news this morning - and maybe there will be later - but so far you can take just about anything you like from the reports. Arsenal may have RvP, Cesc, Hleb, and Flamini back. Or they might not. Elano "should" be available. Alonso could be in the Liverpool squad. Cech and Ferreira played in midweek for Chelsea. Be sure to scan the team news below, but if you've been following along at home there probably aren't that many surprises.

Back later with updates.

I'm going with Dempsey against Newcastle. Bolton looks like a tougher proposition to me. And I'm keeping JCole. But only because I've got him at 4.33. Also got Mokoena at 1.82 and Isaksson at 5.44 this week. Mokoena might not be guaranteed to play - but even if he doesn't, how can you go wrong? The rest of my team - Corluka, Samba, Bentley, Koumas, MPetrov, AYoung, and Benjani.

I'd go with bianchi, they play against bolton and we all know what kind of defense bolton has...I think It's better then go with dempsey....I have N'Zogbia an I will change him for bianchi...It's a bit of risky but I have a hunch bianchi will score 1 with 3-4 SOT....15 to 20 points..

deuce for sure....bianchi was early season hit but he is long gone and shud never b cnsidered unless he deals with derby, wigan so on.....but, my fantasy mind did stuck dis week for mikel arteta, i got at 1+ now and he gave me whooping 14 points lat week, which help me keep pace wih those of CRon n carlito tevez...shud i keep him or shud i trade him for cheaper middie and then i could kick mokoena out of my lineup..really looking 4ward to hear frm u magnificent duo 'neal n jeremy'......my line up ashley young, benjani, jerome, arteta, dunn, koumas,on feet MPet,penalty nelsen, mokoenable to get any point, corluka,i'sick'son

Consider Convey. He's super cheap, Reading are on a good run of form and scoring some goals, and B'ham's D is certainly leaky enough to let one or two in. I think he's due an assist, if not a goal, and you might apply those extra points saved elswheres.

way ahead of you, icknae. I've been on the Convey bandwagon for two weeks now and have gotten 4.5 pts from him each week. Currently at Tevez, CJerome, Bianchi, CRon, BFDB, Lil' Bobby Convey, 'Sicky, Nelsen, Mok, Sagna, and Given.

Despite being at the bottom of the table, both Wigan and Sunderland have had decent home form. Each has seven home goals conceded, which only leaves six teams with stronger home records: arsenal, manyoo, chelsea, l'pool, p'mouth and mancitee - or basically numbers 1 through 6. Not going to change any minds at this hour, but something to contribute to the loss of sleep for those people banking on BFDB, or moko/nelsen (well, namely, Jeremy).

dumping Joe Cole is very strange considering the fact he only played last 28 minutes on Tuesday UCL match against Valencia, we were at Stamford Bridge and Cole looked very vivid, i am sure he will contribute against gunners at least with an assist if not goal. Also i do believe given recent Arsenal slip of form they may struggle to score against Chelsea solid defence and Peter Cech. Even if the hole bunch - Cech, Flamini, Hleb, Van Persie and others are set to return i really doubt that they will be rock solid this Sunday.

#8 hey, wake up, Chelsea isn't that team u talk about any more, especially with grant managing and drogba's absence.. no body will score against Chelsea, joe cole will get a goal or an assist, Chelsea will win the game.. mememememe...wake up.. and for the dempsy/bianchi thing, if u dont have larsson, get him..if u do, then thats a problem..i think bianchi's chances to score more points are higher than dempsy, but only if he played..take in mind also, that dempsy was substituted a game or two before..and if he played whole 90 he has the ability to pass the matcn with no influence, but if bianch played, sure he will get points..if he played

no mention of a Tuncay at Derby? Am I missing something? Sticking w/Martins @ +1.abit for the "cake-walk" (I just had a mini-stroke remembering the Bolton cake-walk of yore). Riding the J.Cole train a bit longer, but with CRon, I'm looking at reasonable options elsewhere and have yet to field the obligatory yank (Convey or Dempsey??). Convey looked good last week but scored crap. Americans....all hussle, no flourish. Why didn't we score Capello? Oh, maybe we're waiting for England to pay for the English lessons, then we'll scoop him up.
