MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican forward Nery Castillo is to go on loan to English Premier League side Manchester City after a failed attempt to adapt at Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk, his agent said...

"There has been an agreement with Manchester City so that Nery can be with the club for one year on loan and so he can prove himself, so he can play active football," his agent, Jose Luis Padilla, told Mexican television.

"Nery just wanted to play and that was not happening at Shakhtar," Padilla said. "Nery is now in England to iron out in the next few hours the final details of his contract."

    this guy was a beast at the copa america over the summer - mexico's one man show, valencia were very interested just i am now...especially with the guile of Bloomer and MPet in midfield, this guy could be a massive hit...

    re(2) I agree. He was great @ the Copa America, but this is European style football, or even worst 4 him: this is English style football... He has to ADAPT. After that (we'll have to wait several weeks / mounths!) than I do believe in the lad, because he's tallented! ::::::::::::PS- he's not 9-Fw, but more like Van Persie / Wayne, because he likes to have the ball.

    he will adapt to the english game coz he is lightning quick. another good signing by man city. they will get stronger.
