Today is just the warm up. The appetizer to the football buffet that is Grand. Slam. Sunday. Excuse me, Grand! Slam! Sunday!
But for fantasy managers, it doesn't matter if your points come from Eastlands or the Emirates; Joe, Ashley, Andrew, or Carlton Cole; Steve Sidwell, Howard, or Gerrard; Xabi or Mikel; Dickson or Kelvin; etc... You get the, um, point(s).
Good luck, and let us know how your team is performing.
Consider this your match day open thread.
Update:
Big holiday week with two-gamers as far as the eye can see coming up. I'll start the barn(es) door discussion. Bianchi, BFDB, Nelsen --> Martins, Koumas, Scharner. Rovers are CHE,@MAC. Which is probably the worst set of games for the week. Wigan - though lord knows I think they are terrible and are doomed this season - play @FUL,NUF. I'm not picking Bramble or MBent, but there could be some points in those matches.
What do you think? Who are you picking up before the barn door closes?
bent with 3rd who wud have thought my team bb very pthetic tday worst performnce 4 a decade
Who looks better on the barn door between RSC and Bent. Probably won't keep either in the end but want some options. WIG seems to have the better double week schedule.
Marcus Bent for the barn door? Can this be just a blip, or is the "other Bent" rounding into shape to do some damage?
Scharner can replace Bale as the defender who plays midfielder..
Nolan continues to get points for me on the cheap... good back door pick.
Got Yakubu back door.. before his hat trick.. continues to produce...
Got Tuncay on the cheap back door... another keeper.

Someone mentioned Bent/Wigan. Bruce has these lads fired up. I'd avoid West Ham and Blackburn for the time being... Bent/Tuncay - both good back door picks...ditto Harper/Reading...
(33) Perhaps Landzaat? He is cheap... and on a roll, as well... and on my squad... w/good matchups...
Re: (6): Agreed. Was all set to pick up N'Zog, but seeing him in D makes me wonder.
dropped cruz two minutes before deadline last nite =[
decent team i had santa cruz tuncay downing larsson petrov muntari scharner samba nelsen given
now i am a bit confused on who to pick
Another back door possibility... Parker/West Ham.... he looked in form today...
Parker did look good, but he's the sort of player you want in your real team not your fantasy team. He might score points here and there, but he'll always be too inconsistent since he's more of a holding midfielder.
Who would have thought Spurs were capable of keeping a clean sheet? And against Pompey no less!
(41) I hear what you are saying... and have opted for the likes of Landzaat/Parker(Reading)/Nolan, the latter two games ago... Johnson/Birmingham is a similar to Parker... I've had some luck w/midfielders like Parker, though... ditto Whitehead... neither are long term "holds".... more "filler"...like Convey.... "filler"...
Schwarzer and Given should also be on the back door list... if someone needs a cheap keeper...
Poor ol Fulham--but though Newcastle grab the win, Martins managed to do pretty much nothing, which seems to be in line with my luck thus far.
Crucial penalty decision...How unfortunate can Fulham get?
does anyone know why given hasn't received any points?
sorry about the double post. does anyone know why koumas and given haven't recieved any points?
i Got 40 points and only dropped 70 points seems like evry1 had a poor week
i Got 40 points and only dropped 70 places* seems like evry1 had a poor week
Re 47 & 48: Given didn't yet get points becuase NUF-FUL was a later game, points from that game should be updated later. On Koumas - he never got off the bench.
why don't pens count as SPG's?
116 pts baby and im back up there with top 2000!!!! inspiring week
someone tell me why didn't komas play????????? and will he play next week??? and could we pick players from Newcastle for next week after what we have seen in that poor game..
Given looked just fine.
Where was Oliver Kapo today, he wasnt listed as either starter or sub.
