Easy come...

Wed Jan 16 08:46PM by Jeremy

... easy go.

via MatchCast:

"Man City substitution: Castillo OFF, Bianchi ON.

Shoulder injury for Nery Castillo. Sven's gearing up for a substitution as the stretcher is brought on. The Mexican fell awkwardly after a tough challenge by Neill, and it's an unfortunate end to his home debut. The City faithful give him a hearty round of applause.

So much for that 6 dollar/pound/euro/linden/unit option at forward.

i've put Duff and Owen straight into my team on that basis. keegan only knows how to play one way. not sure they will rack up many more wins in the short-term but their shots/crosses/goals are sure to shoot up.

given factors in if you consider the elk a must have. but have to assume a reliable 10-15 pts from james or almunia is a better bet than 30 from the elk

How about Svens post match comments on Elano: "However, after returning from international duty in October with a minor injury, his form dipped markedly and Eriksson revealed it is only now the 26-year-old has been able to start training properly. 'We have not had the real Elano since October or November,' he said. 'The last two times he has come back from the national team he has been injured. Then he was a bit sick, so he has not been training regularly. 'Thankfully, he has trained well for a few weeks now and physically, he is a lot better than he was a month ago. 'He is a world-class player and when you are looking for someone to do something special in the last third, he is the man." Team for the weekend = WHU!! Ominous sign!

Brimingham may not be as bad as you guys think... played 5 times with big 4, 1 home & 4 away... and ended up with 2D3L! Even the 3 loses were for one goal margin only. I m condsidering between Elk & Berba.. I had Torres for small margin and is likely to fill Nugent for the final forward spot ... was opting for Kranjcar, but after Keegan steps up + yesterday's performence I may consider to drop him for N'Zobia.

Yes to Newcastle players. N'Zogbia looks like he is out of that left back role and playing in forward midfield role. He is going to get back on the scoresheet soon. Pick Portsmouth players on the rebound as well. Pamarot and Nugent are cheap.
